WHO WE ARE

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Nigeria, 1000 persons at a time through our communal sheltering program, one city at a time.

The Need

Shelter is one of the most basic human right to which a huge percentage of the Nigerian population is not privy to.
There are millions of people who are homeless and are forced to live in misery.

We at Sheltered Hope Initiative are driven by a desire to help as many people as possible find a home that is safe and conducive. We are working to build a shelter community that will house thousands of homeless Nigeria residents and will provide them with life skills and opportunities through a pathway that facilitates healthy societal re-integration where they can add value.

Homelessness in Nigeria has been left unattended for far too long and this is crippling the growth of our economy. People are constantly being displaced from their homes to an already overpopulated street, sleeping on cold pavement slabs, bridges, and dilapidated sites. The mere sight of this is beyond heartbreaking and should question our judgment as humans.
SHi was founded with the aim of solving the homelessness crisis that has plagued Nigeria, by providing a shelter community to house and transform the homeless, using an innovative concept of plastic waste recycling for construction bricks and thus cleaning up waste polluted lands that are currently inhabitable.
